Rebecca Poole is a singer, songwriter also recognised under the artist name PURDY. Rebecca started her career singing for the Oxford Jazz company whilst penning her own original songs. In 2015 she released an album titled 'Diamond in the Dust’ produced by grammy winning 'Andy Wright', famed for his records with Imelda May and Simply Red. The album launch was preceded with a highly acclaimed support tour with Jools Holland and his Rythm and Blues Orchestra. This included playing prestigious UK venues including The Royal Albert Hall.

Rebecca has performed to 90,000 at Wembley Stadium, singing her self penned Remembrance song for Help for Heroes, accompanied by 40 RAF men and women, receiving recognition from Dame Vera Lynn. She has been guest vocalist of Simply Red on The Royal Variety Show, performed alongside Jamie Cullum at BBC Radio 2's Cheltenham Festival, playing packed houses at London’s premier venues, Formula 1 events and The London Lifestyle Awards. Rebecca appeared under her alias PURDY as a guest singer on Richard Branson’s Necker Island opening for Lana Del Rey. 

Alongside her own shows, Rebecca runs a popular and highly successful Jazz club in the heart of her home town called 'Purdy's Pop up' where she invites the best of International Jazz artists to perform to a thriving fanbase. 

 

Alongside her original projects Rebecca enjoys singing jazz, pop and soul covers for high end corporate events, private parties, Jazz clubs and intimate gatherings. Those who have seen her perform live know that they can expect a rich velvety voice, a feast of emotions and a playful, witty and alluring engagement with her audience. Meanwhile, there is a special Jazz originals album brewing, written mostly by Rebecca and produced by award winning James McMillan. The album 'No Regrets' will be released this year under her own name.
